Meet the team
Sabrina Miller
With over 30 years of experience across the fashion and hospitality industries, Sabrina brings a refined sense of care, design, and presentation to every part of Brighten A Heart. Her passion for creating beauty with purpose shapes the organization, from the thoughtful curation of comfort care totes to the intentional and respectful way they are delivered.
Originally from Seattle, Sabrina spent sixteen years living and working in New York City, where, outside of work, she created and donated small floral arrangements to brighten the days of seniors, hospital patients, and homebound individuals. Those early acts of kindness showed her how powerful a simple gesture can be, a lesson that continues to guide her work today.
Now working across Hawaiʻi, Las Vegas, and Seattle, Sabrina supports Brighten A Heart’s early launches and partnerships, shaped by family caregiving and a belief that even a brief moment of kindness can bring comfort to someone facing illness, fear, or uncertainty.
At the heart of her work is a simple philosophy:
"What brings me the most joy is making someone smile — creating a positive, unexpected emotion, even if it lasts less than fifteen seconds."
Sheina Miller
With an innate gift for organization and empathy, Sheina was the one who always planned ahead, took notes, and looked after others from a very young age. During high school, she worked every weekend at a nearby nursing home, where she enjoyed reading to residents, playing board games, and bringing brightness to their days with her companionship and laughter.
Immediately after graduation, Sheina was offered a rare apprenticeship with a respectable medical company. There, she trained in administration and finance, skills that, to date, guide her work. She later moved to Las Vegas, where she worked for more than a decade as a project manager, overseeing projects ranging from home renovations to meticulous care and attention to detail.
Yet Sheina's greatest fulfillment has always come from helping others. Before founding Brighten A Heart™, she and her sister, Sabrina, would often visit local nursing homes in Las Vegas, delivering small floral gifts and spending time with residents — simple acts of kindness which inspired the organization itself. Today, Sheina brings warmth, structure, and steady leadership to Brighten A Heart™. Her experience in project management and lifelong compassion mean that every detail, from the design of each comfort tote to the logistics behind every delivery, reflects the mission of uplifting and connecting.
Claudia Bartolini
Claudia Bartolini was born in 1944 in Verona, Italy, the middle child of five. Raised on a family farm during the final year of World War II, Claudia developed a deep sense of resilience, humility, and family unity. From the age of six, she and her siblings worked hard alongside their parents to grow food and help support the household. Her parents instilled in them the importance of hard work, kindness, and helping others.
At 18, while working in a local restaurant, Claudia met her husband. The two married and eventually immigrated to Manitoba, Canada, before settling in California. Years later, while living in Las Vegas with her young family, Claudia experienced a heartbreaking tragedy. Her car was struck by a drunk driver, an accident that took the life of one of her children and left Claudia and her youngest son in intensive care. The loss was unimaginable, yet Claudia’s resilience carried her forward.
After recovering, Claudia returned to California and began visiting a local hospital ward regularly. What started as a small gesture of kindness became a nine-year commitment to comforting patients, especially those without visitors. She brought small potted flowers, offered conversation, and listened. Her consistent presence brought light into lonely rooms and healing to her own heart.
Three years ago, Claudia moved back to Las Vegas with her son, and she remains a radiant force in the lives of those around her. She is like a second mother to Sabrina and Sheina Miller, offering encouragement, wisdom, and endless warmth. Claudia continues to lead with kindness, grace, and unwavering compassion. As a board member of Brighten A Heart™, she brings decades of lived experience and a profound dedication to helping others feel seen, supported, and loved.
